ALERT: Appointments for visits at Middleton facilities will be required as of April 1, 2023

Beginning April 1, 2023, the Essex County Sheriff's Department will be requiring appointments for in-person friends and family visits at our Middleton facilities.
How it works:
- Visit lines will continue to be scheduled by housing unit.
- A person wishing to visit must call 24 hours to 48 hours ahead of the scheduled visit line and between the hours of 12 p.m. of 3 p.m. to be added to the visitor list.
- Appointments can be made starting Thursday, March 30 at 12 p.m. by calling (978) 750-1900 ext. 3472.
