Community Work Crews

Under correctional officer supervision, work crews provide free services to municipal agencies and non-profit organizations. From painting a town hall to filling sand bags to prevent storm damage, pre-release inmates can be seen helping throughout Essex County. Approximately four crews with an average of six inmates per crew work on community projects daily. Another four or five crews work daily on highway clean-up.
