Bail

All bails will be done nightly at 8 p.m. Individuals paying for bail must arrive by 6:30 p.m.

• If you need to determine a bail amount for someone, please call our Records department at (978) 750-1900, extension 3400.
• All bails require a cashier’s check or a money order made out to the Bail Clerk on duty (please call the Records department for the Bail Clerk working that day). NO personal checks will be accepted. 
• Bail can be paid in cash up to $5,000.
• The person providing the bail must be 18 years of age and possess a valid picture identification (driver’s license, passport, transitional assistance cards).
• The individual person posting the bail of an inmate needs to be here by 6:30 p.m. in order for an inmate to be bailed at 8 p.m.
